In recent years, nanocrystal materials have been accelerating their penetration in various fields by virtue of their unique properties. In addition to lanthanide-doped nanocrystals and calcium carbonate whisker nanomaterials, the application of amorphous nanocrystalline alloys in power electronics and new energy fields has also attracted much attention. The 2025 Amorphous Nanocrystalline Alloy Industry Development Conference revealed that China's amorphous alloy market scale has maintained steady growth, reaching 8.53 billion yuan in 2024 and is expected to exceed 16 billion yuan in 2027, with a compound annual growth rate of 20.3%. Guangdong Power Grid has successfully developed the world's first 110 kV amorphous energy-saving transformer, whose no-load loss is reduced by more than 60% compared with traditional products, demonstrating the great value of nanocrystal materials in energy conservation and consumption reduction.

From the "0-to-1" breakthrough in basic scientific research to the "1-to-N" implementation of industrial projects, China's nanocrystal material field is forming a sound pattern of industry-university-research collaborative development. Industry experts said that with the continuous iteration of technology and the advancement of large-scale application, nanocrystal materials will play a more important role in display technology upgrading, new energy equipment optimization, county industrial transformation and other aspects, injecting sustained impetus into the high-quality development of the new material industry.
